Pitched Roofs Ceiling Level New Construction

U-Values for tiled or slated pitched roof, ventilated roof space, insulation placed between and over joists at ceiling levels.

Note: These values are based on the following construction (external to internal)

• Conventional tiled or slated pitched roof
• Ventilated roof space
• Timber ceiling joists at 400mm centres
• Foam insulation (92%) / timber rafters (8%) (insulation and timber depths as indicatd above)
• Vapour check barrier
  
• Plasterboard 12.5mm
• 3mm gypsum skim coat finish

• Conventional tiled or slated pitched roof
• 50mm ventilated space over breathable roofing felt
  
• Timber ceiling joists at 400mm centres
• Foam insulation (92%) / timber rafters (8%) (insulation and timber depths as indicated above)
• Vapour check barrier
  
• Plasterboard 12.5mm
• 3mm gypsum skim coat finish
